OMX (M) SDN BHD has embarked on agriculture by establishing the probiotic organic farming system in Malaysia. This farming system has brought drastic changes to agriculture in Malaysia especially for those farmers who depend strongly on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
It has always been the policy of the company to lower the cost of production so that its consumers are able to enjoy lower prices when purchasing the company's products. Bearing this in mind, the company has recently been involved with an encapsulation facility under the Australian, Japan and China operation for better quality control and cheaper products to benefit its consumers.

| ORGANIC BIO-FERTILIZER |
The organic bio-fertilizer was made by using vegetables, plants, herbs, organic components and live bacteria made through a unique fermentation biotechnology that takes as long as six months. During the fermentation, the strains of bacteria have the ability to degrade the entire nutrients in the vegetables, plants, organic components and herbs to produce by-products. In the fermentation, the pH value is strictly being controlled. The live bacteria used for the fermentation process has the ability to synergize with the microorganisms propagating naturally within the soil habitat. These soil microbes secrete unique by-products such as organic acids that inhibit other pathogenic and undesirable organisms including fungi that may impair the development of the plants. The organic bio-fertilizer contains the main components especially N, P, K, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, organic acids and enzymes etc that are required by plants to grow organically. The organic bio-fertilizer eliminates the problem of chemical residues in edible vegetables and fruits, besides being kind to the environment.

In 1996, the company embarked on agriculture by establishing the probiotic organic farming system in Malaysia. The OMX probiotic organic vegetables produced by Kuala Pilah farm were tested by UPM and found to be 100% free of any chemical residues.

In 2000, the company created a new chapter in its operation by acquiring a piece of organic farmland with fruit trees of a total 100 acres in Melbourne, Australia. The orchard acts as a new raw material supplier of apples, pears and other organic fruits to the company's own fermentation plant to produce the OMX range of products such as Apple Cider, Vinegar, OMX Probiotic Paste and other beneficial health foods.
